How to use

1. Wet the brush bristles with lukewarm water, keeping the ferrule (the metal part) as dry as possible.

2. Swirl the bristles over the brush soap to create a rich lather.
Gently work the lather into the silicone cleaning mat using circular motions to lift away makeup, oils and build-up.

3. Rinse the bristles thoroughly and repeat if needed until the water runs clear.

4. Gently squeeze out any excess water and reshape the bristles.

5. Lay your brushes flat to dry completely before using them again.

How should I clean my makeup brushes?

Wet the bristles with lukewarm water, then swirl them into a lather using our Brush Soap – work the bristles across the silicone mat built into the lid to really get into the base of the bristles, rather than lathering in your palm. Rinse until the water runs clear and no colour remains, gently reshape the bristles, and lay the brush flat to dry. Try to keep water away from the ferrule (the metal band holding the bristles), as excess moisture there can loosen the glue over time and shorten the brush's life.

How often should I clean my makeup brushes?

As a general rule, brushes used with liquid or cream products – foundation, concealer, cream blush – benefit from a wash once a week, since these formulas hold onto the most bacteria and oil. Brushes used only with powder, like blush or eyeshadow brushes, can usually go a little longer between deep cleans if you spot-clean between uses. Anything used close to the eyes is worth cleaning a little more often, given how sensitive that area is.

How should I dry my makeup brushes?

Always dry brushes bristle-side down or lying flat, never standing upright – water running into the ferrule while a brush dries can weaken the glue and cause shedding over time.
